Immigration Law Success Stories
February 11, 2011

It is well noted that Tri Valley University was shut down by Immigration & Customs Enforcement due to allegations of fraud in administering its SEVIS program for F-1 students.  Immigration & Customs Enforcement has terminated the status of all prior Tri Valley University students and have sent "call-in" letters to students to report to Immigration & Customs Enforcement and many students have been placed in removal proceedings after they reported.  Our Philadelphia immigration attorneys were retained by a former Tri Valley University student to represent her at a "call-in" meeting with Immigration & Customs Enforcement in Philadelphia, PA.  Our client was married to an individual presently in H-1B status and intended to make an application with USCIS to change her status from F-1 to H-1B.  Based upon our explanation of the situation to Immigration & Customs Enforcement our client was not placed into removal proceedings following the "call-in" meeting with Immigration & Customs Enforcement.
