This client had been ordered deported many years ago and her previous immigration lawyer had submitted a green card application for her that neglected to include an I-601, Application for a Waiver, that was required under the law because the client had entered the U.S. using a false passport.  For this reason, the client had been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and her green card application had been denied.  After assisting this client in obtaining her release from an immigration detention center, we submitted a motion to reopen her green card application along with a Form I-601 and thorough documentation to meet the extreme hardship legal standard.  USCIS approved our client's waiver and granted her green card application.
